February 8 - Sept 19 Triple X Love!  Love!

So, dates.

I'm writing this on February 10 about the song for February 8 which namechecks September 19 unless you're looking at the Youtube version which namechecks September 16. One of those dates is my birthday. So I'm starting this one off timelost.

And the Youtube version of this song starts off with a little bit of reggae. OK, cool.

But then we get some much more assured guitar than we've had from John so far, fast and confident and telling a story of a rural autumn idyll, hard work making a tiny paradise of a sort. Sweden is an album of facets of relationships, with an ever present "I" and a frequently absent "you". This often gives a sense of the relationships in the album being continually strained, so it's nice to get a sing that appears on its face to be about nothing more harmful than love through service. Doing a duty, keeping away cold. Not thinking about the horrors of the killing floor as long as the cold is kept away.
