April 22 - World Cylinder

This is a goodbye. The last song on an EP about last songs. It's someone not saying what's happening, but not saying it more blatantly than just saying it.

One of the most common sentiments of my life - and one of the ones that gets me twisted around myself the most - is "there's so much to do". It's not wrong, but it is self defeating. You'll never do everything, and yet I watch frustrated as my perception of my inaction lets things float past undone. Maybe the insertion of a final, unmovable deadline helps people know what it is they actually want. Talk to the people it matters to talk to. Watch the waves break. Become accepting of how much of the so much to do can be done by so many other people.
